Nothing Witty

*cough* I couldn't come up with a cute or witty headline, take what you can get. I am sick. Probably close to death. I have strep throat, my energy level is that of a snail, my throat feels like it has been run through a meat grinder and if my fever doesn't break soon...I might kill a small dog. Ok, I wouldn't really harm an animal! (Back off PETA!) I might stab a human (allegedly) but I would never hurt a harmless animal. Can you tell that I am sick and my patience is running low? You should feel bad for the husband, I am pretty sure he is sleeping at work tonight. He should be scared to come home. I don't even know why I am writing a blog today? Maybe I want one of my hundred follows to give me sympathy, tell me how beautiful I am and that hot chicken noodle soup is on the way. *cough*

While blowing my nose constantly, I noticed how cute my cheap paper towels are. Cupcakes?! Perfect!

Have you noticed my Instagram pictures over there on the sidebar ---->

I love the filters that are on Instagram and being able to share my photos with my friends, it reminds me of Facebook but without all the drama! I found a website called www.kanvees.com that lets you log into your Instagram account and print whichever pictures you would like. Only 25 cents per picture. Because Instagram photos are smaller than regular pictures (3x3) they do not turn out well if trying to print through a company such as Wallgreens or Costco. I got my pictures in the mail this weekend, it only took a few days to get here! They turned out super cute and are all over my fridge at the moment. I cannot wait to print out some more!

*cough* It is taking all my strength to lift my fingers to finish this blog. I am going to go eat some ice cream and watch all the new day time TV that has come on. Is anyone else excited to see Jessica Simpson on the new Katie Couric show today?!

Wish me well, I might attempt to remove my tonsils by myself today. At home, with a butter knife.

That's a wrap

Summer has come to an end, although the weather is supposed to be in the eighties next week. Kids are starting school and I am impatiently awaiting fall. Changing leaves, hot cocoa, blankets, candles, sweaters and scarves sound amazing. The husband has to work on Labor Day and didn't get to have a long weekend like everyone else, so we decided to partake in one last adventure. About fifteen minutes from where we live is something called Jetty Island. It is a little island in the middle of Puget Sound. You can take a small ferry free of charge and head on over to enjoy the sand and water. The view is spectacular and it was just what we needed to relax and clear our heads from the hectic week we just had.

It was reallllllly windy, perfect for the kite surfers! There were so many of them out on the water! The sun was out and shinning, but the wind chill was super cold. *Note to self, bring sweat shirts next time!*

We enjoyed a picnic, a long walk on the beach and stayed until the sun went down. On the way home we swung by a coffee stand to get some hot chocolate to warm ourselves up. It was a fun little get away from our everyday stresses. Great way to end the summer! I love all the adventures and time we spent together this summer and cannot wait to start making plans for next year.

By the way... remember that summer goal of loosing five more pounds that I had? Well, that got left behind, somewhere between s'mores, blizzards, fish & chips and all the yummy BBQ food that we had. I am four pounds away from being in the fifties. Let's see if I can get that done before Thanksgiving, when I gain it all back :)
